Let's put the "Verde" in Camp Verde and Go GREEN! Bring your friends to celebrate Camp Verde's first Earth Day Arts Fest! This is a SciTech and Verde Valley Arts Festival event for families, students, artsy & outdoorsy folk.

- Join us at Rezzonico Park off of Montezuma Castle Highway, next to the new library, 130 Black Bridge Road, Camp Verde.

- Special appearance by Smokey Bear for photo ops

- Free filtered water provided, but please bring reusable water bottles to keep this event waste-free!

- Local musician Ray Reeves, who also plays for the Invincible Grins, is an inventor! Solar light He plays an upcycled suitcase-drum and has written a song about Air Pollution, so he was a natural choice for Earth Day.

- South by Southwest will offer 20 minute Kayak clinics including all the equipment and play time on the river to introduce beginners to paddling safety & techniques. $10 cash only from 1:30 – 3:30pm.

- Spoken word by Christopher Fox Graham and teen tree poem as part of Arbor Day Tree planting.

- Kids Dance Play by Jenny -- Dancing to live music in the park.

- "Trashy" Fashion show by Leslie Fox. 100% recycled hand-made outfits from throughout the Verde and Flagstaff--modeled by a group of young fashionistas

- Walk the plans for Rezzonico Park – see where the new Ramadas will go, the new stargazing platforms, new book trail for walking and reading a book along the way.

- Upcycled Art Contest participants should submit Artwork Release Form by Wed, 4/19 to Email Sebra for a copy of the Release / Entry Form. One entry per person, must be original artwork by person submitting, must used recycled / repurposed materials, Prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place--local gift certificates. Drop off artwork at judges table on 4/22 by 1pm. There will be 2 tables for displaying artwork.

Turn in your Passports!

Passports that have been filled out by participants attending SciTech events throughout the Verde Valley are brought to the Yavapai College Expo and placed in a drawing for gift items contributed by our donors. Past gift items included tablets, wine baskets, Diamondback tickets and more!
